To be able to enjoy this experience, you only need the navigation license. If you do not have it, sign up for a quick course from Sea School Costa Blanca (Also located in Altea Marina).
l’Alfàs del Pi Municipal Pool
The municipal swimming pool of the l’Alfàs del Pi sports center is open to the public (from June 1, 2024). The pool will be open to the general public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends, and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays.
Swimming courses and aquatic and toning activities will be held in the mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and in the evenings from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Information can be found in detail in the AD booklet on sports activities that the sports department has already made available HERE.
The Councilor for Sports José Plaza explained that “one of our main concerns when it comes to raising swimming courses aimed at the little ones is that of prevention. In this sense, introductory courses have been proposed for children from even two and a half years old onwards since we consider that in this area, where contact with the sea and swimming pools is very frequent, it is very important that children learn to swim as soon as possible to avoid accidents and misfortunes”. In addition, the mayor of sports stressed that “to this offer are added courses of improvement and sports initiation as well as courses for adults and therapeutic swimming for children and adults.”
Juan Carlos Hernández, responsible for these courses, explained that ” two shifts have been established that have a duration of four weeks each with classes from Monday to Friday “. Hernández added that “children can come from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and adults can do so from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.” In addition, “The therapeutic swimming sessions will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the same time as the previous ones.”
