The Cautivador Foundation presents “Peter and the Wolf” by Prokofiev. The fourth concert in our 2024/2025 series, narrated by Waltraud Meier.

Peter and the Wolf, composed by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936, is a delightful and imaginative orchestral work that introduces children to the orchestra’s instruments. The story, which follows a young boy named Peter as he bravely captures a wolf, is narrated alongside the music, with each character represented by a different instrument. The piece is both playful and dramatic, making it a perfect introduction to classical music for young audiences.

This exceptional event will feature Waltraud Meier, a world-renowned opera singer who will narrate the story of Peter and the Wolf with an ensemble conducted by Yaron Traub.
