Cultural Week – L’Alfàs Història
11 April @ 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
The fourteenth L’Alfàs amb Història Cultural Week is being presented under the title “The Voice of a People. L’Alfàs Canta Polyphonic Choir.” The L’Alfàs del Pi City Council has published a publication of the same name, which will be presented on Friday, April 11, at 7:00 p.m., at the Espai Cultural Escoles Velles, during the L’Alfàs Award ceremony. The publication chronicles the history of the L’Alfàs Canta Polyphonic Choir over its 15-year history and includes photographs, testimonials, and graphic documents.
The L’Alfàs Award ceremony will conclude with a tribute concert performed by the L’Alfàs Canta Polyphonic Choir.

The Cultural Week of l’Alfàs amb Història will continue on Sunday, April 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the route ‘The Paths of Water’, which includes a guided tour of Carbonera and El Captivador, with stops at the Molí de Mânec, the hermitage of Sant Vicent and unique trees such as the Foia Brell carob tree, which, at 800 years old, is the largest and oldest specimen in the Valencian Community.
Of easy difficulty, the route covers 5 kilometers and lasts approximately 4 hours. Those interested in attending this guided tour should register by emailing museovillaromana@lalfas.com . The activity is free, and places are limited.
In previous editions, these events have focused on topics such as the pine tree in the Plaza Mayor, the Albir lighthouse, the school memories of the people of Alfàs, the Santísimo Cristo del Buen Acierto (Holy Christ of Good Success), the Reg Major of Alfàs and Benidorm, the town’s traditional cuisine, the Film Festival, the evolution of traditional trades in Alfàs, the Carbonera and El Captivador games, wedding traditions in the town, and the community of European residents in Alfàs del Pi.
