There are so many wonderful places but there was only room for 30. These are some of our favorites but there are 150+ more to choose from in the area that we couldn’t feature. Day 1 – JunGle Joy – Albir – Pad Thai
Residents and visitors to the area gather here for authentic Thai dining as well as for the fun atmosphere, music, and great drinks.
Day 2 – Criollo – Albir – Scallops
A recent and very welcome addition to the area. Scallops and many other delicacies to be had at this restaurant in Albir.
Day 3 – Diferens – Altea – Mince English Muffins
Bacon Mince, Fried Egg, American Sauce & Hollandaise Sauce with Toasted English Mince! Available until 12:30hrs.
Day 4 – NO-MAD – Altea – Specialty Salad
NO-MAD – Specialty salad with creamy avocado, tender roast beef, exquisite smoked salmon, fresh quisquillas and a red fruit vinaigrette.
Day 5 – Mr. Singh’s – l’Alfàs – Pizza
It’s well known in the area that Mr. Singh’s has fabulous pizza. This may be the best rated on the Costa Blanca.
Day 6 – Hereford Meat on Fire – Albir – Chateaubriand
Chateaubriand for two. Everything was spot on. The meat was cooked exactly to order and served with delicious vegetables. Another Albir hit!
Day 7 – The Church Bar & Bistro – Albir – Breakfast
A Church Breakfast is the perfect way to start your day. Open from 9AM, come and indulge in our Breakfast Menu.
Day 8 – Stroopwafels Los Abuelos
We love their Stroopwafels (2 thin cinnamon waffles with a tasty syrup filling.). Place one on your coffee or tea cup and let it warm up a little. Delightful!
Day 9 – Mar de España – Albir – Paella
A recent guest wrote “A delicious dish with an exquisite taste. Thanks for the treat and quality of food.”
Day 10 – Bar Ca Blai – Albir – Ricas Albóndigas
Residents in Albir say that they love enjoying the tapas and a drink here. These meatballs passed the test. We’ve heard their paella is top notch as well.
Day 11 – Restaurante Al Castillo – Denia – Cannoli
If you are looking for a treat for your taste buds, their cannoli are the perfect choice. At Al Castello, they prepare each one with dedication and passion for authentic Italian pastries.
Day 12 – Bon Vent – Altea – Red Tuna Tartar
This season’s red tuna tartar, marinated with black sesame ice cream, is one of Bon Vent’s most popular dishes. Partly, because of its great ability to cool you down. Even on the hottest days.
Day 13 – Pizzeria 1948 Restaurant – Calpe – Pasta Bolognese
Hand made from scratch!!! Pizza, pastas, empanadas, desserts of all sorts and much more.
Day 14 – L’Agret Albir – Tapas
On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, L’Agret serves the most exclusive tapas on the Mediterranean at the Tavern when the sun goes down.
Day 15 – Pasta & Pasta – Albir – Tomatino
Baked Tomino Cheese, with dried figs, walnuts, and honey. We don’t think it needs more description. You just must eat it!
Day 16 – Enjoy – Altea – Mini-Rijstafel
Oh, we do like that plate on the right! We can easily say this is a recommended choice for Dutch and Indonesian dining. Good food made right.
Day 17 – Wanderlust – Albir – Brunch
Fresh and delicious are our most used expressions for Wanderlust dining. Brunch, served every day, will not disappoint.
Day 18 – Myracle Cakes
If you need a cake for a special occasion, Myrna Reijmers is the one to do it for you. Check her Facebook page for some fabulous examples and then order directly from her.
Day 19 – Universal Lounge Bar – Albir – Ragout
Universal Lounge Bar – Ragout of Wild Boar & Deer. Served with potato croquettes, baby pears and carrots.
Day 20 – Signed By Jim – Personal Chef
We are happy to recommend that you try his services. Chef Jim and his crew can prepare everything from Indonesian and other Asian delights to fine seafood or meat. Chef Jim is also an expert with vegetarian dishes, street food style recipes and vegetarian buffets. We are regular customers!
Day 21 – Único Restaurant & Wine Bar – Octopus

Day 22 – La Roca Caribbean Grill – Albir – Seafood Stew
Caribbean dining on the Mediterranean couldn’t be better than this. La Roca offers a simple menu with just the things you love about Caribbean food. Try the seafood stew prepared with fish, mussels, squid, shellfish, and vegetables.
Day 23 – Las Cena by Nola – Altea – Garlic Shrimp
This delicious tapa has its roots in the region of Andalusia, where it used to be a dish for sailors. Garlic, olive oil, and red pepper give it that unique flavor we all love. Enjoy this culinary story at LACENA BY NOLA!
Day 24 – Las Coronas – Altea – Lobster
To say Las Coronas makes seafood is an understatement. Las Coronas is perfect seafood.
Try it and you’ll see.
Day 25 – NOA – Albir – Wok
NOA’s Wok will surprise you with its different options, meat, chicken, or prawns and sautéed vegetables with Asian sauce, broccoli and chopped peanuts. You can also choose between rice or noodles.
Day 26 – The Grill- Albir – Shish Kebab
Pork skewer with rustic sweet potato puree, chimichurri, spring onion and coleslaw Served with fried egg, rocoto and sweet chili.
Day 27 – 1er Cru Albir – Steamed Seafood Bouillabaisse
1er Cru Albir – Steamed Fish and Seafood Bouillabaisse. You can also choose some nice steaks here as well.
Day 28 – Bay Club Altea Port – Brunch
Brunch and breakfast at the bay. Open from 09:30am and ready to give your day the best start.
Day 29 – Zero Zero Altea – Menu of the Day
Here’s a photo of the delicious lasagne. We can’t get enough of their daily menu. Excellent choices of food for the senses.
Day 30 – Café Bar El Universo l’Alfàs – Bocadillo
El Universo opened in the middle of October 2023 and has already gained a regular clientele. Their Bocadillo El Universo is one reason.
