Homeless Support

There are men and women living on the streets in our area. We hope to make their day a little brighter by asking you to visit the cafes, bars and restaurants listed on our page. With just four simple steps, we can ensure they know they can eat that day and that there are people out there that care….

  1. Ask a member of staff in a participating venue for a Post-it note.
  2. Write the item you are donating. Drink/Sandwich etc.
  3. Give your note and donation to a member of staff.
  4. Smile, knowing you’ve made someone’s day that little bit easier.

CALLING ALL CAFES, BARS & RESTAURANTS!

We are looking for more venues who will support us in helping find food and drinks for our local homeless community. We are working alongside a registered charity, Project 4 All (G05269469) whose volunteers cook and deliver food to the guys on the street who are genuinely homeless.

This is proving increasingly difficult due to the number of people in need of support. Also, because of the rising costs and the rental of facilities they are currently working on to allow them to shower and receive a fresh change of clothes.

We operate as a Pay it Forward scheme whereby your customers pay up front for a hot or cold drink or a small snack that you can easily prepare for our friends to take away. By using Post-it notes, they can see what is available and not only does this help relieve any embarrassment they may feel, but we find it is also the easiest way for you to support others.

We have had great feedback from our venues about just how sweet and grateful the men and ladies are who are currently collecting something each day, and the many positive comments from their customers who want to help. With more venues, we hope to support everyone who is being cared for along the coast and eventually be able to offer this support to those using local food banks.

Please contact us, should you wish to join. We can deliver posters and laminated table cards and give you more info on how the scheme can work for your venue. Alternatively, if you can cook occasional small takeaway meals or volunteer for food deliveries, Project 4 All want your help, and we can pass on your details.
