Car Rental Tips
We at Active Albir have lots of experience travelling from Alicante Elche Airport (ALC) to destinations around Costa Blanca. We have found that there is no single best answer for transfers. The cheapest is always taking buses and trams. For a few euros more, you can get there faster, more private and cleaner. Renting a car is always a tricky endeavor. On one occasion, Hertz can be the best price (and service). On another, Centauro can be the best choice. The next deal can be different as well. We have found that good cars can be rented for €6-10 per day with a week minimum. Rental insurance is always best to have a plan with your credit card. American Express has a great deal where you only pay when you rent and insurance is less than €20 total for up to 45 days of full (yes, everything) coverage.
